Here comes the bride....

Day one of our adventure came and went very quickly and what a way to begin our holiday! We were picked up in the early afternoon by the beautiful 'bus of love', a beautifully restored Bedford adorned with white ribbons and tassels and a fabulous melodious horn which was joyously tooted all the way to the wedding. :)

The hotel was set on the gorgeous Cypriot coast and what a fitting place to be married -Cyprus, the island of Aphrodite, the ancient Goddess of beauty and love. And when the ceremony started and the harem of Grecian gowned bridesmaids appeared with the blushing bride in procession, not even Aphrodite herself could have been more beautiful than Paula. So beautiful that Andy couldn't resist a quick snog before the vows ;).

The ceremony was filled with gorgeous sentiment, laughter, tears and much love. It's clear to anyone who has ever seen Paula and Andy together that they are mad about each other and so witnessing their marriage was a very moving experience.

...Moving and HOT!!!! Yep, we were all sweating buckets - some more than others (ahem....Andy!) ha ha...

...but sweat patches aside, we made a rather handsome (albeit shiny) and happy crowd. The kids looked particularly lovely:

After the ceremony we drank, ate and were merry.... (thanks to the free bar :-D) and watched the sun set as we tucked into a yummy Mediterranean feast.

The love birds cut the cake and then we all danced the night away under the stars.

It was a beautiful day in every sense. Gorgeous setting, beautiful words, fabulous weather and a stunning couple, very much in love. I'd like to say a huge thanks to Mrs and Mr Piper for such a wonderful day. May the rest of your days together be as happy as this one.

Here's to living happily ever after. X
